David Dean

President

A leading Australian wine industry marketer and vintner, David Dean has 35-years hands-on experience in bringing Australian wines to market domestically as well as Europe, North America, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand and China, and the emerging markets for Australian wines in Vietnam, Cambodia and Korea.

A director of specialist wine marketing company, dean marketing, David’s experience covers the breadth of the wine industry as an owner, producer, marketer, teacher and exporter.

David first visited Vietnam in 1996 and was instrumental in assisting Hardy’s Wines to enter Vietnam in 1998. David has maintained a constant connection with Vietnam assisting in product placement and training and education specifically in wine and hospitality.

Grahame Cox

Vice President Australian Communities

Grahame enjoys a successful track record in business communication as a writer, public relations practitioner and media adviser working across travel & hospitality as well as the IT and corporate sectors in Australia, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

His management highlights include serving as the Australian Director of Bite Communications; director and co-principal of Upstream Australia; director and co-principal of MACRO Communications Australia, Singapore, and Indonesia. He is a graduate of the University of Canberra, and the University of Technology Sydney; and a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia.

Betty (Binh) Dang

Vice President Australian/Vietnamese Communities

Betty Dang is a highly successful South Australian agribusiness specialist with a strong focus on exports to Vietnam - primarily juice, oats, fresh and dried fruits, nuts, and wine. Her business experience includes managing companies and hands-on roles in the horticulture sector at the wholesale, retail, and export levels.

During the past decade Betty Dang has also served as an agricultural advisor to small business in South Australia and provides a consultancy for Vietnamese investors seeking opportunities in South Australia.

She is the principal of Golden BC Pty Ltd, founder of Aussie Pure and Fresh (www.pureandfresh.com.au), and co-founder of Betty’s Choice (www.bettychoice.com.au).

Her qualifications include a Bachelor of International Trade, Master of Economics, and Master of Agribusiness from the University of Adelaide.

John Savage

Executive Committee

John Savage is a tourism specialist having served as a principal of small group Interlude Tours and Savage Communications, which he built into Australia’s largest independent tourism and hospitality media consultancy. His career as a journalist, presenter and communications professional spans more than 30 years.

He has hosted many media and traveller groups to most parts of Vietnam and writes extensively on travel and hospitality for international media. John also works closely with TravMedia, which has a unique role in the global travel sector with 45,000 tourism professionals and 25,000 journalists and influencers world wide.

He is a member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers (ASTW) and a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA).

Tony (Hieu) Bui

Trade Representative - Hanoi

Tony has 15 years working as senior manager in some leading multinational corporation in Technology and Retail industry in Vietnam. His management highlights include serving as Senior Operation Manager of Highlands Coffee-chain store; Marketing director of Acer Vietnam; Senior Business manager of Lenovo Vietnam;

Graduated from University of Sunderland, The United Kingdom. Tony had spent 2 years working in London in hospitality industry. He has deeply understanding of multiculture environment.

Currently, Tony is CEO of an Import and Export company who has 25 years established in Vietnam.

Anthony (Khoa) Phan

Representative - Victoria (Melbourne)

Anthony Phan currently is Director of Viet Startup Incubator in Australia, where he is supportting young Vietnamese and their business from first steps to a higher level in order to contribute to the Economic Development in Australia and Vietnam. He is also has experience working as Covid Business Support Officer at Brimbank Council 2021 - 2022 in assisting the local business during the Covid19 pandemic.

Walking through many projects with Small Business Victoria, Anthony is continuing his ambition in assisting, connecting and developing Vietnamese business to reach out and connect with the Multicultural Business Community in Australia.
