The Australian Vietnam Chamber of Commerce (SA) is inviting 10 company representatives to join a Business Mission to Vietnam 15 - 20 April 2024.
Key objectives are to:
- · Provide an opportunity for South Australian companies to gain an understanding of Vietnam market dynamics including the competitor environment.
- Facilitate the establishment of relationships for business and investment.
- Pursue business-matching opportunities.
- Promote an awareness in Vietnam of the diversity of South Australian products and services.
- Create valuable first stage connections as part of long-term market strategy to increase exports to Vietnam in wine food and beverage, training, and education.
Program activities include Austrade market briefings, in-market visits, introduction to major supermarkets, wine distributors and retail outlets. Included are major South Australian Wine Tastings in HoChiMinh City and HaNoi targeting key alcohol beverage trade personnel.
While the April 2024 program has an emphasis on South Australian wine, there are opportunities for companies in other sectors to participate. For such companies, specifically tailored activities would be developed and integrated with the main program.
Showcase events on South Australian Wine are planned for a day each in HoChiMinh City and HaNoi:
- A limited invitation-only presentation - South Australian Wine on the Global Stage. It will target key influencers and present on stage SA’s vanguard varieties shiraz and cabernet sauvignon with the same varieties from France, Italy, and Chile.
- A trade-only event for the South Australian Wine on the Global Stage presentation for F&B, sommeliers, importers, and distributors.
- Two public sessions to discover SA wines.
- A South Australian Gala Dinner in HaNoi at the conclusion of the formal proceedings.
The itinerary also includes Austrade and commercial briefings, and in-market visits. A full day in each city is set aside after the formal tastings to continue trade meetings and market visits.
The mission includes:
- Arranging briefings with trade and government officials in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi
- Facilitating freight to Vietnam.
- Organising in-market visits, e.g. supermarkets.
- Hosting totally dedicated events in both cities- see details above.
- Hotel facilities to conduct tastings, static displays, and business to business meetings.
- South Australian Gala Dinner featuring South Australian wines and beverages.
- Pre-event invitations for key trade to participate in the events.
- On ground transport for in-market visits as requested.
- Advice on marketing material for event.
The AVCC is a member-based association incorporated in South Australia. Its objective is the promotion of trade between Vietnam and Australia.
The mission will be led by AVCC President, Mr David Dean. David has successfully developed business opportunities in Vietnam since 1996. He will also be supported by AVCC Vice Presidents Ms. Betty Dang and Mr Grahame Cox who also have extensive business experience in Vietnam, and on-ground AVCC representatives Mr Tony Bui in HaNoi, and Dr Nghia Vo Van Tranh in HoChiMinh City.
Participation numbers are strictly limited to ensure a sharp focus for the mission and the possibility of greater relationship building.
